Lil Issue – V.I.P Ft. Rick Ross, D’banj

Black: Firstly I must commend the Koko master for his works so far. Having to be on the same record with Rick Ross and Lil issue is a lot. It’s got a fine tune as well, even though he wasn’t the lead vocalist on the hook but we all heard his voice.lol. Rozay dropped some hot bars too, reminds me of his Port of Miami Album, as we didn’t get to hear his signature grunt ‘Ugh’. Lol. Good Music is definitely in the building. Enjoy!

Kyos: Wowzer!!! No disputing you this time Black, it definitely has a great tune with dope bars. Although the “koko Master” wasn’t the main vocalist just as u stated earlier but he still did what he’s good at, making a good tune “catchy” & i must say i’m proud of D’banj on this one cause we know this is just the beginning with “Good Music”.

M.I- 6foot 7foot(ft Phenom)

Kyos: MI! MI!! MI!!!*applaudes* didn’t expect anything less from a man who uses wordplay like its second nature. I mean with a line like:”illegal music nigga gotta spit with CONviction” you’ve got to applaude the guy, but i would say its too ealry to call it the line of the year though*evil grin*. Also on the track is Phenom. Now this is a collaboration I never saw coming. But hey, if it’s a good result then it’s a resourceful collaboration which is what this exhibited with lines like “hip hop was dead but here’s an atmosphere for miracles” & “oh boy If you dey hate jump out the window; I ain’t talking Vista”  from Phenom. I mean he definitely went IN on this!

SCORE: 4/5

Truth: Couldn’t agree more. The song proves M.I. Can “Still (Steal) glo”. Dude is ill! What consistently impresses me about him is how he boldly features up coming ‘cats’ and still brings out the best in them. Phenom is definately one to watch out for. I’ve got just 2 complains though. Firstly, I think M.I. Used some fillers on this track: as per he uses some lines just to fill up the gap and I still don’t know why he keeps using that line about people not sending him like a text message. Secondly, Phenom should try to make his lines more understandable. I mean they are really clever but the beauty in a punchline is simplifying complexity. For instance -”I stack dolls(dollars) & I ain’t talkin Barbie(as in the dolls)queues”. That would be really difficult to understand without explanation. Still a fantastic track though.

SKALES – Dat One Dey (Niggaz in Paris Freestyle)

Black: EME Rapper, Skales dropped this hot freestyle, from the original version by Jay-z and Kanye west. It’s a really dope beat and i think Skales did a very good job on the freestyle; I loved the flexibility and creativity. ‘These niggaz say I’m bleaching, you must be out’ your mind suffering from too much freshness my attitude we design’. Kyos, what’s up?

Kyos: I concur with you Black, not disputing the fact that its a crazy beat but i still want to believe that Skales did not give this ‘sick’ beat his best, he could have gone harder. Overall, it’s not a bad freestyle.

9ice Ft. Sound Sultan – GHETTO

Black: We all know what happens when veterans come together to make a record. Sources confirmed this record, was supposed to be on 9ice’s album ‘Versus’, but somehow didn’t make it. It’s a ’9iceee’ song, the vocals and beat were on point. Good job 9ice and Sound Sultan. Enjoy!

SCORE: 3/5

Kyos: Black i couldn’t agree more, the song definitely has a quality production to it. The beat even actually made me feel like i was the one from the “ghetto”, LOL… & you can always trust Sound Sultan to not deviate from the ‘personal’ message in a song kudos to 9ce & Sound Sultan.

Flavour ft. Tiwa Savage – Oyi – Remix – HD

Kyos: Mehn, seeing videos like these only makes you want to quickly get hooked up with someone and start a relationship, that’s if you are single though. Flavour! the guy that i want to believe most ‘male’ Tiwa Savage fans would be madly jealous of at the moment. But hey, i don’t know about you all but i feel that kiss between them just had that spark in it(acting or not). Who knows they could actually be………….*lips sealed*. Anyway ma naija people, enjoy!

BasketMouth & Steelz Ft. Rukus – ‘Where I’m From’

Black: BasketMouth & Steelz, the duo featured Rukus on this record, for
those who were sleeping on him when he rebranded, y’all should wake up and
listen to this song, it’s on point and basketMouth’s verse was so on point that
you wouldn’t be able to differentiate their voices from one another. @Kyos, What’d
you think?

SCORE: 3.5/5

Kyos: You are right on this Black, i actually couldn’t differentiate between the voices of the “duo” just like you said. The thing i love more about this track is the fact that Basketmouth actually sounds like he’s been in the rap game for quite a while now, real cool stuff from the ‘duo’ & Rukus too definitely gave this track his ‘A’ game.

“Wetin you Do” (Free Download)

Black: R.I.C – ‘Wetin you do’… We all remember R.I.C aka

Rico SlimRico Slim, he had a record with Samklef titled DREAMS… He’s back with this
special soft tune in this season of love, Still a record dedicated to ladies,
he sure let his feelings known on this record. @Truth this song ain’t got the
metaphors and all but more of his real feeling. Good job R.I.C… Ladies…Enjoy!

SCORE: 3/5

Truth: Well, its not a bad track. I mean
its got a sweet melody and the whole vibe of romance around it. But, I feel the
emphasis of the song is laid too much on how “fine” the girl is and
we all know true love is way more than just being fine. So I still believe the
ladies will enjoy this: not because the lyrics will make them feel good, but
because of the melody and production.
